Title: S2000 Yellow Insert Bill Lights won't come on?
Post by: Amechanic on September 11, 2016, 08:13:55 PM
I'm putting a S2000 machine together from a empty cabinet.. It had it's wiring harness, but that's about it.. I now have a working machine with the exception of the lights on the board for the yellow insert bills or tickets on the top of door bezel.. I tested the 2 bulbs in the front doors .25c socket and they both work.. I tried changing the bulb board next, no luck.. Lastly I tried a different door I/O board, but again no lights... Does anyone have an idea what to check next?

if it's a WBA BV make sure all 3 connectors are connected on harness.  There's a 2 wire plug that controls those lights.

If they are like the S+ ones, Jim told me there is a resistor on that board that goes bad or is even gone sometimes. I've never had one out of an S2000, so I'm not sure.  :Scratch-Head:

The 3 plugs coming from the bill WBA was one of the first things I checked thinking the same thing. As for the boards they both look complete and brand new. Does anyone know if the WBA unit (acceptor) could be causing my no light problem?

Problems been solved.. Tried a different WBA assembly but that didn't help. I went back to checking the wiring a found a pinched wire behind the the metal bracket the houses the cash can and WBA. The black wire was held together only by the plastic cover. It broke apart when I touched it. Swapped out the housing and wiring and now the bill insert lamps light. Thanks for those who helped..
