I've not heard of that title in the WMS 40X machines but might have missed it. Did you maybe mean the RiverBelle 21 WMS 40X machine?

Thanks for the photo, I haven't seen that one! Any idea where the machine came from, like a casino in Canada?

If not much trouble could you also post a photo of your mpu board showing the eproms and labels, I'd like to write down the part numbers. Thanks again!

When I read your original post I was thinking it was a 40x dotmation style machine for some reason. I forgot that there were many non-dotmation 40x games, and yes some of them are lesser known and obscure.

If you don't have any luck locating some replacement Lucky Ladies reel strips there is a place near Las Vegas that will make a set for you. But they are often more costly than a person wants to pay. You can contact them for a quote:

And if you read back thru the NLG postings you'll find information on how people have made reel strips by creating a graphics computer file image and then having the strips printed on white vinyl or mylar strips at a printshop like Kinko's (not called Kinko's anymore).

Another option is to convert your machine to a different WMS 40x game theme that you can get the parts for. I believe it just involves replacing the upper & lower glass artwork, reel strips and software eproms on the mpu board.

Another option would be to attempt to locate parts to convert the machine to a dotmation machine... I guarantee that once you convert the machine; youwould never go back yo s standard machine...

Thanks for posting the mpu board photo. I can't be much help on this specific machine, haven't seen or read anything on it. I knew Williams (WMS) made several different ones in the 40x series before the dotmation models came along but I've never seen a complete list of game titles or photos. Below is about the most 40x game themes info I know of and it doesn't list your Lucky Ladies machine, and probably several others are missing also.

If someone knows a better or more complete list of WMS 40x models it would be great to see it.

Are your reel strips faded or damaged, is that why you are looking for replacements? If you want to keep that same game theme I'm afraid your best option may be to look into making your own strips based on photographing your strips and "enhancing" them with a computer, then having them printed. After doing that you can still look for replacement strips in good condition as time goes by, and enjoy your machine in the meantime.

As Bill said, if you play a dotmation version of the 40x machines you will likely find it much more fun, and there are parts for them to make the conversion. But I can understand you being partial to this machine as it is, due to various reasons. Even if you did convert this machine to a dotmation model you could always switch the Lucky Ladies game back into it, it's just the glass, eproms and reel strips that get changed. The dotmation screen is in an easy to remove metal box enclosure, the cables going to it could be left in the upper area of the machine disconnected. The 40x machines came in 3 basic cabinet sizes/styles- roundtop, chopped top and full size top. From your photo I think your machine is a full size top. That needs to be taken into account if you buy game conversion glass or a game kit.

My reels are fading, and I do love the pin up/Air Force theme. I do have a question anyone have a 40x door pin, after taking pictures when I shut the door it says door open.... :(
