I have an sign of the zodiac atronic cashline machine. I've been looking for repair of crc config error and all say to clear and config. Will this error happen because a machine sat for a long period and battery died? If so where is the battery and is it 3.6 volts like other slot boards? I also noticed that a security dongle is needed to connect with a pc. By security, does it just mean that the serial wiring is different than a standard serial cable? Where can the software for the computer be located and downloaded for connectivity to slot machine? Any help in the right direction would be appreciated, this is my first atronic machine I have worked on.
