Title: Bally V32 Roulette Machine
Post by: sakwilla on June 24, 2017, 03:09:16 AM
Hi all,
I purchased a Bally V32 Roulette Machine. It all worked fine but realised quickly the ticket printer wasnt working, it would pay out with an Attendant Alert where I had to turn the key to clear the credit. I spoke to the person who I bought it from and they told me I needed a clear chip to reset the system up again.(Which I did)

Now I am having great difficulty setting up the machine. Every time I try to set everything up I get several errors including

"Validation Not Set"
"Protocol Error"
Plus the new one is "Pending Status" where it is stuck on the blue alert screen with the game in the background.

I tried Youtubing and watched Richard Hunters videos and nothing seems to work specifically for my machine.

The only options I have for Validation are System and Enhanced.

PLEASE HELP ME!! :( :(

The reason it went to handpay was because the ticket printer was not enabled.  Your SJUR chip does not allow for standard validation which is why whoever sold you the machine set it up that way.  The pending status just means you have not resolved the validation issue, which has everything to do with the printer.  You can clear the machine, and disable the printer, which means all cash outs will be hand pays like it was before.  If you want to print tickets:

1.  Get a Bettor Tito add-on to your machine, then your machine will print and accept tickets.
2.  Get an SJUR chip that will allow for standard validation, your machine will print tickets, but it won't accept them back.

Thanks mate, I was hoping it was the chip and not the machine. Do you know where I would be able to purchase one of the clear chips that come with Standard Validation?!?

You need BOTH, an SJUR chip that allows for standard validation AND a Clear cf to do the setup again.  You already have the clear.  You just need the SJUR (not a clear) chip.  It is a small socketed chip on the mpu board (8 pin square chip on a socket).  You can place a WTB SJUR with standard validation option as title.  If you are not a contributing member, post it on a new topic in this section and a moderator will move it to classifieds.  They are not expensive and should be easy to find.

Setting up as standard will allow you to print tickets, but you will not be able to use the ticket for anything.  If you want your machine to accept the ticket, you need to buy a Bettor TITO add-on.  If you buy the Bettor TITO, you will not need a new SJUR as you will be able to select "system" as the validation type when using the Bettor TITO.

I am not sure if that chip allows for standard validation. I don't have that chip to test.
