Unfortunately there will be a lot of flood damaged and wind destructed equipment on the market. From the east coast to lower Texas. Having gone thru all this back in 2005 with Katrina I had to throw it all away.

The way it looks, Let's pray for all our friends and family in Florida and up the east coast. I have family there and up the east coast as well as the Texas area. Texas took it bad on lower parts. This thing is a diff. beast but at least it should move fast. Let's hope for the best as I don't wish or want to see that sheet on anyone having gone thru many of these fricking things. :cactus_run: :surfing: :superman:

I love to see a good thunder/lightning storm, but I can't imagine what it's like to be faced with the prospect of your home flooding and the power being out for any extended period of time. I live in WY, so strong winds to 100+ MPH are pretty common, we just don't get the rain anywhere near the levels people in flood prone areas have to deal with. Good luck to all in dangerous areas. Prayers are with you

I'm in South Florida waiting for Irma to come ashore. Massive storm surge is expected which will bring 7 to 10 feet of water above ground level in most of the southern tip of Florida, especially the coastal areas. It is expected to hit us as a strong category 4 with sustained winds of around 150 mph with gusts close to 200mph. It is expected to be in my area late saturday through sunday early afternoon. About an 10 hour window of hurricane force winds and then another 6 or 7 hours of tropical force winds. About 15" of water expected in the area along with the storm surge. It is going to hurt A LOT. The feeder bands are starting to move in already, the storm is over 200 miles wide! Already have 30 mph winds, it is going to be a really long weekend.

I can't even imagine. Try to stay safe and good luck

I live in Tornado Alley. And a Tornado doesn't hold a candle to a Hurricane. Stay safe my friends.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers and concern. I live in Lehigh Acres which is just east of Fort Myers. It's going to be a rough weekend.

Keep your head down, feet up and stay safe!

Well it's started. The next 24 hours will be interesting. Eye is over key west. Biggest wind coming around 12 hours from now. As of now, still have electricity.
