Title: Bill acceptor disabled

I have a Bally Game Maker 7200 - issue with WBA 11 bill acceptor - when the door is open the display shows "bill acceptor no errors",  when the door is closed it gives a message that the "bill acceptor is disabled".  Tried to clear the ram many tries, with no success to fix bill acceptor disabled.  It did work before the clear ram.  Any ideas you could help me with?  Wasn't sure where to post here or Bill Validators.

Could closing the main door cause something to be hitting the cash can door?

I don't believe there is anything hitting the cash door.  I don't here the validator making it's noises when turning the machine on.  I also can not get the bill acceptor to do anything in the Test Mode.  Sometimes the bill entry only has the red circle lit up and other times it has the two green arrows with the red circle lit together.
