Title: Help With Tovis LCD Monitors
Post by: erbs on October 30, 2021, 05:17:26 PM
I have two 19" Tovis brand LCD monitors model LTG-1932UR doing the same thing. When turned on they have a great picture. After there on about 10 minuets the picture starts to sway / jitter left to right and remains that way. Any idea what component would be causing that? Could it be the PS? Thanks for any help.

Doubtful that the power supply is doing this, sounds more like a component on the A/D board is failing when heating up.try a known good A/D board on it and see if the problem persists. Also could check the A/D board for cold solder joints on the components on the board.

If you have a can of freeze spray try a quick burst via the tube on components on the a/d board. great way to identify thermal problems and narrow down faulty parts. To get it back to temp quickly use a hair dryer.

good luck

Just an update. I replaced 6 of the caps on the A/D board. Monitor didn't shake until it was on 2 hours. Before it started to within 10 min. The A/D board has 8 caps but I didn't have 2 of them. I will replace to 2 when I get them and see what happens then. After that I will get another A/D board if that doesn't do it. I believe after changing the 6 this may be the problem component.
