Title: Intermittent S2k Tito issue

Newly installed Tito in igt s2000, is being finicky about validation.

With a newly printed ticket, it spits them out often.

Machine has a wba13.

Would this be a bill head, or transport issue?

If the last four digits on the rejected "spit out" ticket's validation number does not match the ticket value, your TITO settings on the machine are not correctly set-up.

However, you've added the word "often"....does that mean that the bill acceptor intermittenly accepts the TITO slips?

If so, then clean the bill sensor lens on the BV with warm, soapy water.

Do NOT use anything that is alcohol-based to clean the plastic lens.
It only works for a short while, until it clouds over and sort of looks like the headlights on your  mom's car!

I’ll double check the numbers on the tickets.

When first set up, the machine did accept the tickets immediately after printing.

It sat for two weeks, now it is fussy, and does not take tickets consistently.

It does accept bills, with few rejections.

I did clean the bill head with warm soapy water.

Perhaps the transport and or bill head is failing?

are the newly printed tickets clear? If the printer doesn't print clearly, the tickets don't always accept.  when you try the tickets again, is it the same ones that it accepts each time? same question for the rejects.
My first guess would have been the bill head like Mark mentioned.

I tried one of the rejected tickets on another machine.

That Tito rejects them as well.

I may have used a spare pre-printed ticket when I first tested this problem machine.

The machine will accept tickets from other machines, but not the ones it prints.

Must have made a mistake with the settings.

Well damn, look at the ticket. It's not printed properly. That's why it won't read it.

Got it just a week ago from spin.

Looks like all the tickets have that error.

I see this often on the Gen 2's.  Carefully lubricate the internal rollers/cogwheels of the printer with silicone (gel preferred).  Print multiple tickets after that to get it going again.  Hopefully, it will be fine after that and the pinching you see in the ticket will be resolved.  If not, since you just got it from Spin I would request a replacement.
