Title: bally 931 circus slot machine feature unit issue
Post by: SPN on June 11, 2023, 01:40:57 PM
Im working on my new bally Circus game (danish version) and it seems like there is a problem with the bonus game in in the top.

When I get three clowns it pay out 20 coins and the Flasher Target Assembly start lightning up but it stops after payout and won’t start up again or continue the 10 bonus games mode..  I have a video if someone want to see what I mean :)

Thanks :)

Not familiar with this game.
But, most likely the bonus activates a relay with multiple contacts.
Possibly the relay contacts that are associated with the next sequence are dirty and or out of adjustment.
If this feature happens on very few occasions the non use could be associated.
Contacts that sit idle will tarnish and or collect debris.
As compared to contacts that are constantly in use.

you have the 1039?

afaik, except for some coin stuff and possibly molex vs jones plugs, it's pretty close to the 931.  Schem for the 931 is on https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/

sounds like your super jackpot relay is losing power as soon as the payout relay unpowers.

look for a switch on the super jackpot unit with yellow and green/white wires - possibly a switch poking out over the white ratchet/gear on the unit.  That switch needs to be closed until the super jackpot unit steps all the way up.

It’s a 931 and I try to check the wires you mention but it looks ok so I’m not sure if I understand you correctly :)

I have sent you a couple of clips and maybe you can see something in the video that I miss.. :)

Thanks for your help guys 🙏🤗

I put a couple videos spn sent in https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/pics/

in the bonus_abort_2.mov video, you can see the super jackpot relay unpowering when the pay completes, and he panned around immediately to show the super jackpot unit ... which is stepped up all the way.  Perfect video!

the problem is the super jackpot unit did not reset, so the game thinks you've had all your bonus spins.

when you spin the reels and get three clowns, the regular jackpot relay should power and stay powered while the three clowns are on the reels.   Check that.

the reel mech B-3 switch should close (yellow and orange/black wires) - check that switch.

if the open-at-zero switch on the super jackpot unit is working right, the super jackpot unit will reset when B-3 closes.  The open at zero switch is in the video around 15 seconds.  It's the switch with the orange/green and blue/orange wires.  The orange/green goes to the reset coil on the unit.

B-3 has different timing than the usual reel mech B switches.  Can you post/email a pic of the entire left side of your reel mech ... a video of the entire windup/spin would be even better if you can spin your reels outside the machine.

I did not think of the reel mech and the b3 and you was right again! I found a broken yellow wire as you can see on the picture!

Now everything works perfect and I’m very thankful for your knowledge and help!
