Rowe AMI R84 45 Jukebox Issue (Losing the +8VDC)

(1/1)

budmannick:
Rowe AMI R84 Issue
Working on a Rowe R84 45 Jukebox. Jukebox will not play, +8VDC Led is dim on the Central Control Computer (Part number 6-08870-01) When I plug the Mechanism (Basket) in I loose my +8VDC.
The power supply has all the LED"S on before I plug the basket in. I have the +8VDC The +28VDC and the 28VAC.
Checked out the Mechanism (Basket) Plug I have +8VDC at the plug with the Mechanism (Basket Unplugged) However when it is plugged into the Mechanism the Voltage drops down to 3.67VDC

These a few things I have checked out an all tested good. (tested all these things in fully working Rowe AMI Jukeboxes)

Central Control Computer in  Rowe AMI R87 ( board works an plays jukebox no Issues)

Mechanism Control Unit Board  in Rowe AMI R87 ( working fine with no Issues)

Service Switch in a Rowe AMI R89 (service switch working with no issues)

Tested Complete Mechanism (Basket) in a Rowe AMI R89 ( Basket Pays and works fine for hours No Issues)

Found The Plug at P-105 on the Central Control Computer to have 3 broken pins. Repined the whole plug 17 wire with Trifurcon pins.

However I'm still loosing voltage somewhere.
The only thing That I have NOT checked out is the Main Power supply (It happens to be different for all my other jukeboxes). Rowe AMI R83 Fiesta, Rowe AMI R87, Rowe AMI R89 Will not work in any of these.

The last thing I did was did a continuity test with a multimeter to see if I had a broken wire. Nothing everything checked out.

Even made sure the jukebox had a ground plug and was plugged into a grounded outlet.

(The AMP was rebuilt 3 years ago )( don't believe this has anything to with my issues I'm having)

My question is has anyone else had a similar problem. Or know how to fix this issue? Is it the power supply? If so I can recap it .  Bad ground? Am I going in the right direction. Any help with this would be helpful.
Thanks for Your Time Nick Jr

I had basically the same problem with my R-80, all my voltages were good when I turned it on, but soon as it started to do something, I would lose the - 7 volts.. Once I recapped the power supply, everything is great right on, still have some other issues but not related to voltage.. Dealing with old grease that has harden and has everything gummed up..

buybestslots:
has to be the power supply change those caps

FURET87:
j'ai eu le même problème sur un r84 DISCO par moment le 8v s'éffondrait
