Rowe CD jukebox help

(1/1)

Philman:
Hey Fellow Jukeboxians.. Quick question sure someone should know this i have a Rowe Storm CD wallmount jukebox all is good just wondering how to hookup a radio to it? Or should i say when the jukebox is not in use it will kick the radio on automatically..

SlotFreak:
pretty sure you would need a crossover assembly to have the jukebox automatically switch between cds and whatever your output source is connected to.

foster:
You would need a automatic audio switch box that has one input being a priority input for the jukebox

buybestslots:
its called background music  , we had a lot of diners where we had jukes that  were hooked to a radio that would play when juke wasn't playing on a 45 record juke its easy  you hook a replay to turn table motor when motor goes on relay pulls in cuts off radio , I think there a setting or a plug on cd  box for it  , but right now I can not recall what was  done , you might rig something like a micro switch  that the gripper hits , when it sets cd on player

videorepair:
You may need a "Background Music Kit".  When the jukebox stops playing a mute circuit in the amplifier shuts off the input from the CD player.  So you can't relay your signal in there.  It's not a good idea to hook any input to your jukebox amplifier unless you attenuate that input to match the amp's preamp and regulate the volume from your radio.  I have seen Iphone's hooked up that have blown up every speaker or the main amplifier in the location (with a defeated mute circuit).

Rowe made a kit that switches the external speakers to another source (for Muzak) when the jukebox stops playing.  You can hook your receiver's speaker output this way.  I believe these are extinct but Happ makes an aftermarket product or this may be old stock.
