Need some help replacing optics...
Picked up a wall mount juke, hooked up Bose 301's...Not loud enough  :hissyfit: Then bought a pair of Studio Monitor 65 to add. After 3 weeks of figuring out how to hook all of them up to keep within my OHM spec, found the answer  The SM's  you have to break in over a few days of playing...Which equaled a few weeks.

Now, the speakers were "broken in", and I finally got to see if the AMP could handle Rock like it was meant to be heard  :dancing_2: I played about ten songs , then it would pick up a disc, spin for a sec, stop , re-spin, then place back in the cradle. It did this for the rest of the selections I had playing. Turned it off,and started reading :banghead:

I cleaned all of the disc when I installed it. Tried cleaning the optics, no luck. Read that the optics is bad. Ordered a new optic, still the same. Watched the cd player after the new optic... No light, the sled does not move, only thing is the optic will pulse up and down during the 1 sec that the disc would spin. The cd player is a CD Pro 2.

I have no clue about jukeboxes..

Denny:
You must initialize all your discs for the Pro 2 to read them.  There is a program sequence to do this using your keys.  I am away for the day but can get you the sequence sometime tomorrow.  It takes awhile to accomplish but your cds will not play until they are initialized.

Randy0777:
Sorry , forgot to mention I tried that before and after replacing the optic.

buybestslots:
we have sold over 100  cd jukes  1st the amp in a wall mount will  make the floor rock  they are very loud , those  optic  you buy online don't work with every cd  pro only the old ones  , without the  plug on the end , we have many of those pro player  newer boards which only work with org  sony eyes  which is hard to find , did you clean the old one with alcohol /and qtip

Denny:
Just an update on the initialization of the cds on the Pro2
1.  Go to the "service" mode by sliding the service switch.
2.  Push 30 on the selector panel on the front door.
3.  Push the "Popular" button to enter your selection.
4. Take jukebox out of "service" an your mechanism should pick up one cd at a time and "learn" them into the computer.
Note:  Just a reminder to push the "Popular" button after you enter 30, I have sometimes forgotten that and wound up having to do everything all over again.
Hope this helps, it is at least worth a try.
