AMI Rowe CD 100 Gripper Arm Issue or Mec Sprag Gear?

Working on getting our cd jukebox back to reading cds. Got that part working, however current issue is gripper arm will pickup cd at right number selection however when it tries to put the cd back it misses the spot by usually one or 2 slots. Usually scratches disk up then machine will loop cd load unload process until i press contact switch by cam switch. I have tried resetting optic on selector, tightening gripper arm. Removed it too and reinstalled. Could it be that assembly or the sprag gear below on the mec? Trying to save myself from more work then necessary.  Any help or ideas appreciated.
