New Fruit Bonus 96 w/ ICT BL-700-USD4 bill validator (won’t accept money)

(1/1)

2lbs:
My Fruit bonus 96 won’t accept money. The validator is a ICT BL-700-USD4.

From start to finish. I purchased my first machine recently and want to learn. Old CRT went out so I’ve had to switch to lcd. Upon doing that I messed up and hit the board reset switch while under power. Not sure how to trouble shoot the board, I found another and purchased. Swapped boards out and everything powers on but the validator will not accept money. The LED when first started is red and I can hear the motors turn (makes sound just like when you insert a bill) then switches to green and has a constant blink. I try to insert bill and it doesn’t pull bill in or do anything.

Stayouttadabunker:
Have you seen this acceptor work in this cabinet before?

Try a one dollar bill.

If it pulls it in, then the bill head needs to be flashed with updated firmware.

Are the meter wires connected to the validator?

Last question....which version is this game board, Amcoe?

I might have a wiring schematic for it.

2lbs:
Yes, it worked fine with the previous board. I was trying to upload a video with my iPhone but video is too large.

It does nothing when I try to insert bill. No pull or movement. LEDs are green. I have not changed any of the wiring with bill validator. I only swapped board out and added/wired the VCG converter when swapping out crt for LED.

I am uncertain as to what version. Screen says Amuchine.

Stayouttadabunker:
I would upload videos to youtube and place a link to it here.

Open the hinge on your valiator head and clean the rubber wheels and optical eyes.

Now, that 6-pin plug on the BV, the color of the wires should be....>>>
1). Red
2). Orange
3). Yellow
4). Green
5). Blue
6). Purple

The blue wire, check it out.
If you ground that one, momentarily to metal, or to just about any orange wire in the machine, you will send a pulsed credit to the machine.
That wire should run back to an input wire of a mechanical [IN] counter.
Am I right?

Look at this sheet...see if your dip switches match...>>>

Below is a sheet for your game board...pin-18 (on the component side of the board) is the one that adds credits to the game...>>>

Hitting that reset switch only cleared the accounting amounts.
Your settings are determined by the dip switches on the validator, AND the dip switches ON your game board.
Although the link I sent above is for "New Chery '96", it's pretty much the same as your "Fruit Bonus '96" game board.

2lbs:
I will see what I can do.

Here is a link to the video. https://youtu.be/yrVgF63UY3U?si=c1FSEz9S9Qjah2Et

I’ve used rubbing alcohol and tips to clean the LEDs in the validator.
