IGT Double Bonus Poker - Key Switch Needed

(1/1)

TheR00ster:

Someone broke the key off in the Jackpot Reset switch on my machine (no one will fess up!  )

I'm guessing I can't get a new key, so does anyone know where I can get a new switch?

I think it's PN 51009790

Thanks

I've had luck extracting the broken part of a key by using narrow tweezers or very slender needle-nose pliers. I get a grip on the broken part of the key and slowly wiggle and pull back. If you can get the broken key removed you can probably get another key, it is usually the "standard" key called a "2341". Look for the number on the key head or on the round part of the reset switch where you insert the key.

If you can not remove the broken key then it is easy to replace the entire jackpot reset keyswitch. There will be a couple of slip-on wires attached to it, on the inside of the machine, plus a retaining nut you unscrew to remove it.

Here are examples of a replacement reset switch, they are available from many sources. Be sure the switch includes a key, some are sold without the key since one key will work on all similar switches.

Ohio Gaming is the way to go! Spin Inc has a minimum order of $100 or $150, I believe. And Rudy's out of stock. You can always trust and rely on the Vendors on our Home Page!! (Ohio Gaming and Rudy's are both Vendors here).

As the others said, the key for the jackpot reset switch is a common one.  If you have any other slot machines in the house, they likely use the same key.  If not, order one from any of the vendors on the front page of the website.

You could remove the reset assembly and take it to a lock smith with the other part of your key. I'm sure they could remove the broken part then make you a new key..
