I am a new user and need help troubleshooting Bonus Error -Comm code. I have a Mikohn Yahtzee Slot machine. It played perfectly well since I bought it back in February 2021 (about 4+ months). Then out of nowhere, when I started the machine it flashed the Bonus Error -Comm code. I tried turning the reset key a 1/4 turn to try to reset / clear the error. I tried unplugging overnight but code keeps coming up after initial boot up. I also tried checking all connections/wires to make sure all connections are firmly attached/plugged in. I also tried removing and reinserting both the bill validator and cash box.
A few potential clues:
1) Upon initial boot up the display does the usual self check (Led lights appear to work fine).
2) Prior to Bonus Error - Comm code the Yahtzee dice used to spin as part of the initial boot up self tests. Ever since the Bonus Error -Comm code appeared, the dice do not spin upon initial boot up.
3) While booting up, the display does its usual self checks, then goes black screen. Prior to Bonus Error-Comm code, the screen would be light up with Yahtzee name, etc.
4) I noticed a clicking sound and followed the sound, which led me to 2 flashing LED lights directly under the cash box (please see pics). I have a suspicion that this may be the root of the problem.
Hoping someone can help me troubleshoot / fix my Mikohn Yahtzee slot machine. It was really fun to play before encountering the Bonus Error-Comm code.
