Title: Looking for assistance with a Lighted topper
Post by: castropl on March 08, 2022, 06:15:49 PM
:Scratch-Head: so I came across a topper for my double Diamond machine but when I remove the candle on top of the machine none of the wires look like they will work. Does anyone have an adapter harness or maybe can tell me what I need to do to swap the original candle out fit the topper. I’ll post some photos to clarify.

So photo 1 is the new topper and the 2 photos following are the topper wires. The last 2 photos are the wires in the machine.

Any help would be appreciated!

The topper is for an S2000 and you have an S+ machine.  It will not work without modification. (different voltage and wiring)

Can anyone help with the modifications? How difficult is it?

Well......

I have some S+'s and got some Aristocrat toppers cheap. I had my local sign shop take my "Monaghans Irish Pub and Casino" logo and make me up a couple of new plexy inserts.

So in terms of making the candles light - I used my original candle and fed the florescent in the topper from the power that fed the florescent in the top box.

So with your setup.....

From a candle perspective you can do a couple of things.

1. You can take your old candle and wiring and just put it on the new topper. You can keep the base and top of the candle and basically replace the center guts snaking everything down and through.

Alternatively .......

2. After mapping out the wires from the old candle - You can hack off the connector and do the same with the new topper and then move the bulbs from the old candle to the new candle so the voltages match and splice on the original candle connector...

Hope this helps.

Or you can get 3  12vdc power supplies. Wire 2 together in series to make 24vdc for the orange+ and orange/black-. Then use the other supply for red+ and red/black-. Flour. will light and led's will chase. You can change the plug from your candle to the topper candle, then change the bulbs. S+ is 6vdc
