Working on a bally s5500 that I purchased a few weeks ago. Got everything to work fine after new power supply and battery on board. When I purchased it, it did not have a bill validator. Picked up a dbv 145 that i was told worked. Tried installing the 145. I cant get the dbv 145 to work. It has the red lights on inside unit but no green light. I have changed the jumper on the board and done a reset of the board. I can hear the stacker trying to work. Also since I installed the DBV it will not except coins anymore?

Is the coin mech switch on the front of the MPU tray in the UP position?
Dipswitch JW3 switches - #5 OFF #6 ON if you have to change the switches to this setting you must do a clear AFTER you change them
-
Yes did switch is up and I did a clear on the board. I am leaning towards either a bad DPV or the dip switches on the DPV?
-
What are the switches for 5&6 set at on JW3 ?
-
Can you post a picture of your MPU board?
What are your dipswitches set at on the DBV145?
-
On the DBV 145 dip switches are set all on except number 8 that is off.
On the board I JW3 sw 5 off and Sw 6 on
I was doing some reading and it sounds like on the DBV number 8 should be on if there is a stacker?
I went through and tried to install everything again tonight. No luck...Coin mechanism worked great prior to install and then would not work after install.
I bought the clear chips from eBay for 12 and 15. When I try to use them I cannot get the cl r message. When I put the original chips back I can get the cl c and cl r. Maybe I don't need the clear chips with my board? :Scratch-Head:

Yes, you don't need those clear chips.
