Title: How to make a Bally slot machine base from furniture.
Post by: David Walz on December 15, 2022, 11:12:53 AM
Living in Alaska, we can't get things like the lower 48.
I found a Bally 1970 slot machine without a base. I really needed a "slot machine base so I basically cannibalize a piece of furniture, it hasn't been the first, but I think it's turning out really nice.
What I basically needed was to drill holes in the top for the change dropping from the diverter coil, the mounting bolts, the power cord. So on with the transformation into a Bally custom base.

Here is the work done. Made a coin slide out. Installed hinges, lock. Installed the base power cord.

Installed a latch plate for the lock photo is upside down. Drilled out the top holes. The slot machine cord has to have a area where it doesn't get pinched, the way the cabinet is made requires
Installed a slide bolt pin tumbler lock with a spacer to have the front flush with the door, which is a commercial grade lock.

I still have a female plug to install on the power cord. I have a plate coming in for the two holes in front door.
