Title: Universal Slot Handle Locked into Position (No Pull)

I have a Universal 3 reel slot.  It accepts coins and allows play using the 'SPIN' button, but the pull handle is stuck with no ability to pull it.  It appears that it remains in the locked position.  It's not clear if there is an actuator that disengages when coins are inserted (ready to play) thus allowing the handle to be pulled.

Any ideas?

I managed to get the handle down by manually manipulating one of the levers inside the pull mechanism .. but now it won't return to the up position.

Bad solenoid?

Old grease, shoot some WD-40 into each of the service holes on the side of the handle box.

The handle (once released) moved freely to the down position.  Now that it is down, it feels “locked” in the down position.  I sprayed WD40 on what I observed as movable parts to no avail.  Is there a mechanism that must be reset to return the handle to the up position?

I managed d to get the handle “unstuck” from the down position.  I read that wiggling the slide at the bottom side to side while rocking the handle up and down might release it.  I sprayed and wiped the slide with WD-40.
Seems to be working well now.  Glad the handle works … finally.
