universal slot machine questions

wondering why my credit meter on my universal machine reads 0000 in test mode and reads 0 when the door is open but when you push in the door close button or close the door the meter is blank. machine recognizes credits when you put a bunch of coins in as it gives the extra spins but no meter number. max bet and bet 1 buttons dont work either button have continuity when pushed on the multimeter, machine works good otherwise.

To get it to register credits you need to light up the cashout button.
If the cashout button light times out the game will be back to coin in coin out.
The light will stay on as long as there are credits on the credit meter.

And how is this accomplished? What are the 4 little dip switches in the board for?

Press the cashout button to light it up before inserting coins so wins go to the credit meter.

Turns out my play credit switch is not working most of the time. Where can you source these switches? I got it to come on a few times and the machine works as it should. I would like to find a nice chrome door frame also. This one is flaking bad.

It times out and turns off if you didn't get a win that would go to credits.
