Mk6 boot up issues
« on: February 24, 2022, 03:09:06 PM »
Mk6 Pompeii showed logic door open error.  I changed the battery on the I/O board.  When it booted up next, several of the buttons didn't work.  After removing both the logic and I/O boards and reinstalling them, it was difficult to get the No Signal display to go away.  I pushed the boards in harder, and now it boots to the play screen, but has errors.  It says Watchdog Reset and BACC Signature Mismatch.   Also play buttons 1-2, 1-3 1-5 and bet button 2 are the only ones working.  I can't get into the diagnostic or test menus because the buttons aren't working.  Will a ram clear fix this or do I have other issues?

I'll try swapping the driver board out with another one tomorrow.  I sure hope that it's that board!

Problem solved!  The I/O board wasncompletely seated.  I had to use a fair amount of force to seat it, and now everything is working properly.
