Looks like there's a extra ssd plugin on the board , has anyone tried to use this? its a IGT G23 660 brainbox ,
or has anyone seen something plugged into that spot ?
If i can expand the boards drive capabilities , how do i enable the sata 2 port to work ?
-
Why? You probably will run out of NVram before you can fill up a 80GB SSD.
-
mabie hey , but still wonder why its there ,
are the 660 more expandable than we think ?
has anyone tried to expand on this board ? Ram ? processor ?
anyway i read the ram story but was it on the 660 ?
-
It's just a basic board with a bios flashed to IGT specs. There is probably is no way to access another drive.
-
Ahh i see i see ,,

From what I can tell, all 3.0 Brainboxes and higher came with 2 ports on the Main Board.
When plugging in the SSD or HD, either one will work.
I know this because one of mine had a missing contact and wouldn't work with my SSD. I just unplugged it and transferred it to the other port. Problem solved.

o great . that works hey , :drool04:
wonder if anyone else has anymore info
mabie can keep games enabled or disabled off this second drive ?
-
I can't see any reason why either one would not work. But I don't see any way to access them both at the same time. It's going to boot up one drive or the other and you won't be able to access any files on the 2nd drive.

Ahh you might be right , does the drive need to be formatted to fat32 ?
maybe ill plug two into it and see what happens ? :Scratch-Head:

Tried to plugin a SSD into the socket , but it's the same socket that the drive itself has ,
Can't plugin a male to male ,
So is this a interface socket?

Avp hdds/ssds are qnx format either 4 or 6 depending on if fam11 or fam14. Not sure what format fam20 are.
