Reel Eproms

Im in search of a few reel chips ss3997 ( Balloon Bars 3C ) ss8541 ( Double Wild 3c ) and ss4704  ( Hot Peppers 2C ) There for S+ slants. Long shot, does anyone know where besides Ebay. Jjslots sold me 3 chips and ALL of then went 62-1 on me. He claims all were tested before they shipped so its my word againt his. Scammed outta nearly $75. Thanks in Advance.

I would nicely ask him if he would re-test them if you were to mail them back?
If not, begin a file for an ebay claim.

I have them. Strange that all 3 are bad with his experience. What SP chip(s) are you using? Balloon Bars is Type 1, Double Wild Type 23, Hot Peppers Type 0.

I would think sending them to RB or one of the other members with an S+ to test as a means of certifying the chips.
I also seem to remember that there is a jumper that needs to be used depending on the size of the chip.
This jumper might have been for the PE+ (been years since I played with any of the board stuff) but given that 3 are theoretically bad perhaps this has something to do with it.

Worst case scenario you wipe the chips and reburn them.

Balloon Bars was original to one of my slants then one day while pulling the chip one of the prongs snapped. I got a replacement but it would only run 2C instead of the 3C that it should. Well, that chip turned out to be a 3994. currently balloon bars has a sp708. The remaining not being used are 575, 731, 1048 and 1311. Dispite all this all 4 of my machines are running. Triple Play, Balloon Bars, 5x's pay and Wild Cherrys.  Ive been to shakey these days to try and solder a pin on the brokin 3997 chip. What would you want for the chips? @Jay That must be just for the PE+ JJ doesnt respond at Ebay so I guess I got boinked, again.Thanks for all the input, guys. If any of you have the means to test these as independent party then lets do it. Ive had these machines since '16 so Im not a noob at them an usually changing games hasn't ever been like this.

Chips are $10 ea plus shipping. The SP chips you mentioned are compatible with everything except the Type 23. I would recommend SP1306 for that. PM if interested.
