Dpickl01:
I picked up a igt 2000 red white and blue slot it had error 12 so I bought a solder replacement battery holder off ebay and the Epsom chips to reset and clear the board. I got it up and running but wanted to see if I can reprogram it to accept more than 3 coins at a time. I don't have a bill validation and can only put 3 coins in at a time. I appreciate the help. Also the dip switches what's a standard for them? I have progressive off and max pay 300 |

--------------------------------------This topic needs moved to S+ section.-------------------------------------------------- Normally 1-3 ON and the rest OFF. Yes there is a special SP chip that will allow for accepting more than the 3 game play coins. Can you post a pic of machine with the door open? You may have an S machine which may not support what you want to do. |

You have an S+ machine. SP738 should allow you to insert more than 3 coins at a time so you can add credits. Also, there was no need to use the clear chip after changing the battery. |

In your 2nd photo, apply a small piece of tape over the glass that's on top of the REEL prom chip. The tape will help the chip retains it's programming. The small 8-pin chip you have in your hand, is a 24c04 DIP chip for replacement chip on the board that's on the floor under the MPU called the motherboard. You do not need to change it right now...or maybe ever. Below is the uncovered glass on your Reel prom chip...>>> |
