I have an X-20 that will not accept coins and have an extra MC-16 24VDC, INHHI 14.26. When I plug it in I just get a red light. Is there a way to make it work? It is for a bally 6000.

Has your X-20 been programmed for the coin you want to use? It can be setup to accept 6 different types of coins. Your X-20 may be defective, or just not setup correctly.
Here's some info from the X-20 manufacturer if you want to learn more about it:

re-taught it the quarter and so far it is working. I wish all problems were that easy.

Glad to hear it is working, hopefully it will stay that way.
The IDX comparitors are more involved and can be a pain sometimes since you have to program them to the coin/coins you want to use. With the more typically-used CC-16 types you just insert a sample coin and you're done. But the IDX comparitors are more versatile in that they can be programmed to accept up to 6 different coins/tokens, that comes in handy sometimes. For example, you could have a bunch of similar sized but different brand of tokens, the IDX would accept all of them (up to 6 different ones), the CC-16 would only accept one style of token.
