Yes, width. Non-Backlit S+ strips don't fit correctly on Backlit reel baskets. Backlit strips will fit on S+ Non-Backlit baskets fine though..

There are 2 widths of reel strips available for many games, S+ and S2000. The S+ strips are a tad wider (maybe 1/16-1/8"??). With that being said, they CAN be trimmed and used in S2000 baskets without problem.

S+ strips were made in non-backlit with a white paper backing and a "semi-backlit" version with a grey/silver backing. While the grey backs do not shine as bright as the black-backed strips in backlit reels, they do show some light through, and are better than non-backlit, when available.

Also, keep in mind that different versions of the games can take different strips (i.e. 1 payline, 3 payline, 5 payline) so do your homework first! Make sure the strip numbers are the same or the symbols are where they should be.
