Title: Reset MK6 payout percent
Post by: Don Indallas on August 26, 2016, 11:58:26 AM
I have an Aristocrat MK6, and the payout percent is set to 84%.  I want to increase this to 98%.  Do I have to do the clear/set on this machine to change only the payout percent?

Hey Don,

We are talking Mk6 XCite? Open maindoor and logicdoor, go into Audit menu -> Operator setup, and change the payout in there. No need to clear/set, but it will perform a ramclear itself. Chanking any of that options will ramclear the machine (counters, etc...). But the settings will remain same. And don't forget, you cannot change any of these settings without opening LogicDoor. And don't forget to SAVE MACHINE OPTIONS before you exit menu.  :cool_thumb_up:

Let me know how it works.

Dan,
Thanks for the reply.  I don't  know exactally what the machine is. It is an MKVI, a Choy Sun Doa.  I don't  know if it is an XCITE, I think it is older than that.  Is there a way I can tell?  Thanks for responding.  I hope it is an XCITE, this would be easy to do!

If you're talking about the cabinet, the manufacturer's plate is on the right hand side of the machine near the JP/reset key switches which should tell you what cabinet you have, and the month/year it was made. MK6, MKVI, Xcite, Xceed, MVP, MK5 Series 2 (even MKV "series 1") are all the same as far as the game board itself is concerned.

If it's a plastic-fantastic machine with triangular buttons (Xcite) and/or has two buttons above the screen, then set the cabinet type to 16 buttons, otherwise 14 buttons is fine. That game was first released in 2002 and was one of the early MK6 titles.

Any photos? :)

Thanks for the response.  I feel a bit like an idiot, not having read the label on the machines!  The MAV500 is the Choy Sun Doa, and the MAV SLIM is the Whales of Cash.  I'm  guessing, at this point, that both will require a full ram clear to reset the payout percentages.  I really appreciate the help on this...
