Title: Help with 2 coin Wild Cheery
Post by: WTFLV on September 13, 2016, 12:32:50 PM
Hello fellow members, I am going to acquire this IGT machine from a friend and He said if I can fix it, I can have it. It is a round top, very nice but he said he has not had it plugged in in over a year, but when he had it on, he said he hit the cash out button and seems to think he locked up the CPU board. Now I still have to pick it up on the other side of town but from the picture, It has a bill accepter, with a ticket printer. No coin slot. This might be a little premature until I have it in hand, but this one is going to be a learning curve. What may cause this to happen. Just trying to wrap my head around this. Calling all knowledgeable member who may have some input.
   Thanks to all.    :Scratch-Head:

Well, if he hit the cash out button and it "locked up" it is probably in hand pay mode waiting for someone to turn the jackpot reset key that is on the right side of the cabinet above the pull handle.  If he doesn't have the key inserted into the slot (or has no key), the keys are under $5 to buy.  You can tell if the machine is in this mode as the VFD (blue matrix display) says Call Attendant and Handpay displayed alternatively.  If that is not the case, we can still figure out how to fix it.  These machines are not all that complicated to fix and parts are easy to come by.
