Hello all, I have a igt S2000 hot peppers machine. Someone put a regular battery where the rechargeable battery was suppose to be. The regular battery exploded. After the battery exploded the slot machine now has a high pitch noise (hum) all of the time. Everything on the machine works just like it did before the battery exploded. Just has the high pitched hum now. It is a 504B board. Would anyone know what it might have done when the battery exploded to make it hum now? Thanks

Sounds like you have a low grade short somewhere on the board and need to try cleaning the whole board really good with some electronics cleaner. If it had a multimedia daughter board clean that also

How big was this explosion? Maybe some debris got into a nearby cooling fan and jammed it so it doesn't turn, causing it to squeal?

Thanks for the replies. The sound is coming out of the speakers

Also thought i better say the hum does go up and down with volume.

Got another board you throw in just to see if the noise goes away?

I don't have another board. I am having trouble finding a 504B board

If all else fails, upgrade to a 1270 and motherboard

You have lost a ground somewhere in the machine, that's what creating your hum.
