The originals of this machine came out in 1946 and were known as the Aikens Front, Extra Bell, or Fancy Front and were later highly prized by collectors because of their ornate design and because they were produced in limited quantity.
In the late 1970s someone found the original molds and ever since, people have been producing brand new upper and lower Extra Bell castings, throwing old mechs in them and manufacturing brand new antique machines. This appears to be one of them. Even so, with a $1,250 asking price, you can probably negotiate them down to a real bargain.
