Title: IGT GAME KING MONITOR PROBEM

I HAVE A IGT GAME KING 044 THAT TAKES FOREVER FOR THE MONITOR TO COME ON. IT IS A KORTEX 17 LCD. I TOOK THE MONITOR TO A FRIENDS & PLUG IT IN & IT CAME ON RIGHT A WAY BUT IT WASN'T A GAME KING IT WAS A SOME OTHER IGT VIDEO GAME. MY IGT GAME I BELIEVE BOOTS UP OK BECAUSE ALL THE BUTTON LIGHTS COME ON & THE BILL VALIDATOR WORKS & WHEN THE MONITOR FINALLY COMES ON IT WORKS FINE UNTIL I SHUT THE MACHINE OFF & TURN IT ON AGAIN

Is this a new problem, or has it been this way since you bought the machine? The 044 platform takes longer to boot up then a machine running a 3902 setup. Do you know what's in the other machine your friend has?

WHEN I FIRST GOT THE MACHINE IT WAS FINE. IT SEEMS TO BOOT UP OK BECAUSE THE BUTTONS LIGHT UP AND IT WILL ACCEPT MONEY & MY FRIENDS MACHINE WAS A SINGLE GAME. LIKE I SAY THE MONITOR SEEMS TO TAKE LONGER & LONGER TO SHOW VIDEO

We have a few games that do this also, they do not show the picture of the machine booting up, it only shows a picture when the game comes up. The machine takes the same amount of time to boot up, it just doesn't show a picture until the game comes up. We have never found the reason why, but, since the machine still works we have not pressed the issue. What boot chip do you have in your flash board?

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT KIND OF BOOT CHIP I HAVE ON THE FLASH BOARD & NOW THE MACHINE HAS BEEN ON FOR A COUPLE DAYS & NO VIDEO & LIKE I SAID WHEN I PLUGGED THE MONITOR IN MY FRIENDS SINGLE GAME MACHINE A WHILE BACK IT CAME RIGHT ON

The boot chip is on the MPU board. Do you have any pics of the Main Board?

You said a while ago that the monitor worked in your friends machine.

If the monitor still works in your friend's machine today then borrow their power supply and try it in your machine.
