i have two games both with 3902 rev b boards (base of m000837) and MEI validators in them(one with a netplex board(single switch) and one with EBDS(2 switch)). when doing a "drop" on them and setting the machine to reset the meters, when open the B door it does not signal the machine that it has been opened. rebooting the game, it then sees the B door open and i can reset the meters. then after closing the doors the game comes up with a bill validator comm error(validator cycled and went green after putting the can back in). tried to do the netplex auto-configure is shows the validator as not responding. another reboot of the game allows the netplex to see the validator and function again.
tried asking a couple people i know and all they said was that is an interesting issue, so i decided to finally signup for an account here and ask after lurking for a while now.
thanks in advance for any insights you guys may have on this.

are you refering to the logic board inside the MEI cash can housing?? IGT board one switch, Bally board two switches, can't use bally in an IGT.

the EBDS interface boards are backwards compatible and have them working in other machines with no issue
