Title: I Game Touch Screen Calibration Problem
Post by: Dirtguy on August 31, 2017, 07:33:59 PM
Hi

I am having trouble calibrating an I game touch screen. I get to the calibration screen, touch the little dots till I hear sound, do everything it tells me to do and when I return to the game, the touch is way off of what I am touching.Tried calibrating several times, sometimes some things I touch are right on , and others either don't work or are way off. Anyone have any ideas?  Hexbreaker is the game.

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you have one of two problems. It's either the touch screen control board, but I really think the touch screens gone bad. I had one like this last year on a 17" monitor. I changed the touch screen and it worked great. Do you have a flat panel LCD monitor, or a CRT monitor?

Its a flat panel. Where is the control board and how would you separate the touch screen part?

The control board is located behind the monitor. They are usually mounted on the inside of the metal assembly that your monitor is mounted too. The touch screen is attached to the LCD usually with a two sided mounting tape. Then sealed with a cloth tape like to keep dirt from getting inside. You remove the tape. Then carefully cut the mounting tape. I've heard of people using dental floss to cut thru the foam tape. I've used a razor knife. I did the one on my 19" LCD on my Game King to remove the smoke that had built up inside between my touch screen and LCD. I don't remember having mounting tape. So maybe it's just used on CRT monitors. I'm sure if you U-Tube touch screen replacement you could find a video.
