Thanks Barry.  Yes you are correct.  I am looking for the model 226458 CPU.  This seems to be a very HOT item.  I saw one website that had them posted for around $1800 each.  I called and they were even sold out..  WOW!!

Ok, ill ask the question, what’s the advantage of a 2.1 over the 2.0 cpu. All the software still works or am I missing something?

I have a game that requires the 231 bios (Action Bank).  It's a dongle game, I've been told it requires the new bios, so need the new box.

Thanks Rick, Yes that is correct.  The newest BIOS won't load in the older boxes with the audio jacks.  The newest games do require the newer Bios.  I am having the same issue Rick described above, so that is the reason i am searching the #226458 CPU box

Bios must be at least 231 or above on the newest sheet.  Old box-Highest bios can and will go to is -227.  Also the newest games have the newest o/s -etc.

Idesign,  What model of CPU do you have?  Is it the 212233?  What bios are you running that is allowing you to play the dongle games?

Thanks for the info.

Not home for a week so can’t tell you the number of the CPUs I have been using, lbut I have been using 366J. No issues with newer dongle games and older 2.0 cpu. I did find some time ago that there was a firmware issue with Wonder Women but had another cpu that worked fine with it.

Thanks for the info.  If your running 366 you must have a newer model CPU.  I would love to know which one when you get back home.  I am trying to get to the 366 so if I don't need the newest model CPU that would be awesome.  Thanks

Irish, Make sure you are at 227 bios in your old box,  You may be at 194 or older.  If so you can flash to 227 using the box by installing a jumper and having the proper install cards.  The last A 2's I had I upgraded them all to brand new new style boxes and video cards so I did not worry about the old box pains anymore after that.   The 231 bios is non-flashable.  The 180X-194 are.  (flashable to 227)  227 is needed to run some earlier/newer release games.

The CPUs I am running 366J in are all the older 2.0 models.  Labels on the cases are 212233 Rev B for one of them and 219737-600 Rev A for the other 2.  No problems with dongle games running on these CPUs.  BIOS is 227274C with License Management BAL_LM300B
