Post by: Hamburger4378 on October 22, 2017, 06:31:02 AM
Got bally topper for my s6000. Looks like I need power  supplies to run it. Anyone know what amps they need to be?

Awesome thanks, would you by chance have something showing how you have it wired up. Do you use a regular 12vac cable to power it?

Also would I need one or two? For the back led light and the chaser

You only need one power supply. The led back light is wired to the 24v and the chaser lights are wired to the 5v on the power supply, and you need a power cable for the 110v side.

Looking at the one pic of that thing  it looks like it only has ac input, common, one out put connection. Is there more outputs or I'm  looking at it wrong and not sure how to wire it up for both voltages?

Sorry to keep bothering you, and I appreciate  the help. Seems like I would need a bigger one with more than one output than the one  in the pic .just wanting to be sure before  I purchase  . Thanks again since I have zero experience with these power supplies.

The photo Jameco uses for these power supplies is "representative", meaning it isn't a photo of the actual RT-50D item. Don't know why they do that, I guess it is easier for the person doing their ads since there are so many different power supply models. Unfortunately the photo they use in their ad is a single output power supply, so that causes the confusion. Jameco is a good company, don't let this keep you from getting what you need for your topper.

Below is a photo of the RT-50D. As you can see, it has 3 output channels, for 3 different voltages. You can use any or all of them. There are separate connectors for 5 volts, 12 volts on V3 and 24 volts on V2, all output voltages are DC.

Attached below is the datasheet for the RT-50 series power supplies:

If the top box has 110 connector then you can use a harness from the power supply to the 110V connector like the one in the picture.

If the top box has 110 connector then you can use a harness from the power supply to the 110V connector like the one in the picture.

Also, there may be a 115 volt ac "service outlet" in the lower part of the machine that you could run a light duty power cord to.
