Title: Star Trek Episodic on a BB2 with OLED Panels?
Post by: bpracer on November 05, 2017, 02:49:50 PM
Will Star trek Episodic play on a BB2 with an OLED button Panel.

I'm getting an Assert Fail on the OLED after loading the game?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Nope.  Can’t understand why WMS wouldn’t have made that game compatible with OLED.

Not fun enough of a game for me to switch out control panels.

This was not a BB2 game, it was released on a BB1 machine before OLED decks were available.  So it does not support it.  Plays using the BB2 CPU as a fluke, like a few other games that were on the same BB1 platform.

Actually, it did not run a stock BB1, see attached pic.  Notice the top box which had external connection support to make it work.

That side monitor was explaining how to log in and save your previous play so you could advance and unlock more episodes, same way with Lord of the Rings. The side monitor I think was to explain the concept. Actually Most new Lease themes in new platform were tried a year in old existing cabinet with new platform CPU but often with a light box top instead of dual monitors on the CPU-NXT-2 Platform with BB1 cabinet, this continued again with the BB2 cabinet and CPU-NXT 3 but then usually a  32" vertical monitor with few exceptions on top light box like Aladdin. Just my .02 worth
