Title: How to repair a Bally silver power supply for the 6000 and 5500
Post by: Badbaud on May 21, 2014, 09:17:05 PM
There is a easy way to fix the Bally silver power supply.

Turn it over and remove the small power supply module underneath (4 screws and 2 plugs).

Purchase a replacement power supply module from Jameco Electronics or Mouser electronics.

The replacement power supply is made by Mean Well and the part number is PT-65B.

 Jameco has a better price.

The 5 volts is probably set at exactly 5.00 volts and will probably work just fine but Bally recommends
 it be 5.16 Volts.

There is an adjustment on the power supply module for the 5 volts (only adjustment on the board).

You can measure the 5 volts on the 6000 board and adjust this small pot on the power supply module for 5.16VDC if necessary.
