Title: Barcrest "input shorted" message
Post by: rjpohl on July 01, 2014, 11:59:32 AM
I have a s2000 barcrest (top dollar), after performing complete clear/key I get the keychip menu but the buttons do not work (they are lite up).  If I close the door I get the "inputs shorted" message.  Any one else ever experienced this or have any suggestions?

Thanks
Bob

I've never seen that problem, but I'd start with MPU board and look closely at the pins to see if any got bent over inside the plugs to the motherboard then check all your player panel buttons for a bad micro switch and lastly try swapping the door IO card

I once moved a machine from one room to another and had the cash box key laying on the reel shelf ...the key slid down and wedged itself on the board behind the MPU ....machine gave me the same error when I turned it on ....didnt fry anything ...removed the key and turned the machine on the error was gone ....I thought it was wierd but it worked for me .....I dont know if you have moved you machine, but I would check if anything has been rolling around or something got disconnected at that board......Just a thought
