Title: MK6 startup error EEPROM 0 not detected

Hi all,
i have a Australian MK6 (NSW) which on startup gets the below error..


Program loading verification ok.
Process >(0)
ca3b8 mcwire.c: EEPROM 0 not detected

i have tried reseating all 3 of the boards to no avail,
can someone please help?
what/which is EEPROM 0?

It seems your eeprom is missing or faulty.


The eeproms are located on the board just above the eproms. You only need 1, most of the time only 1 is present on the left. (it just stores game setup/config).


If your board didn't come with any, you can swap them easily from another board, from memory it uses the same as MK5. But it doesn't need both. If you don't have anything in those sockets then that's your problem. Otherwise check it's seated properly.
