I have bin trying to get an old cash wheel going so far I have had to replace the reels, both power supply, 1gb board, and everything works except for top box. It lights up and the wheel stops like it is going to work then the lights go out and wheel starts spinning again. A errors go off for a second then it says top box com error, top box device error, lamp projector, top box not configured. I have tried swapping out the board in the top box, the board behind the reels, usb from the main board all the way up and still does the same thing. I ram cleared the machine each time I changed out components. I'm thinking it might be the board behind the tray in the top box but I don't have one of those I can swap from another machine. Is there any thing else I might be missing?

I have a Bally hot shot cash wheel also and have been having same issue with top box error...but I don't have proper software for it. I just have hot shot software but doesn't have the cash wheel n it apparently. Would you like to sell a copy of software?

I'm guessing that is a what, s9000 Brian?
I got a s9000 3 reel Monte Carlo Cash Wheel that does the same:
Turn it on and it takes forever to boot up, then the top box nevers stops spinning and shows a top box/wheel error.
Sound familiar?
Did you ever find a fix?

There's an error about not being configured. Maybe one of the settings needs changed to recognize/communicate with the bonus wheel?

Maybe clean the optics on the bonus wheel board.
