i have a Butterfly 5 reel triple 7 with 180 max bet and come to find out that the limits on the game chip that it will not enable enhanced sounds, but if it drop it down to 90 max bet it will then allow the enhanced menu to be accessed ..Is this the only way i can get the enhanced sound on my machine..Was this addressed with the higher betting game chips..i think there was a 360 max bet...thanks

SB100496 & 497 work with enhanced sound. Don't think any of the others do.

The S2000's moved to flash boards to accomodate more information and allow for enhanced sounds with high line/bet games. The base chips just don't have enough room to include all the paytable information for high payline/high bet games and still have room for enhanced sounds and such, so the enhanced sounds were removed for the games with more paylines. The issue is that they did not make flash boards for the older games. Some of the older games have base chips with lower max bet that will allow for sounds, but not all of them do.
