Title: Issue Starting Tournament SP830
Post by: EGuy1999 on January 18, 2021, 06:30:23 PM
Hey all,

I’ve finally had some time to work on the slot that I’ve been neglecting for months, and I seem to have run into another issue. I’ve installed a coin optics assembly which allowed me to finally enable tournament mode and set all of the options to my liking, but I can’t actually start tournament play. It was my understanding the pushing the spin reels button while turning the reset key would start tournament play, but nothing happens.

I’ve turned the machine off and on again via the power switch, and I see that there is a 0 in the credits window, and a 0 in the coins played window. The cash/credit button is also lit up. I’ve double checked all my settings, but I can’t find anything set incorrectly (I think)

My machine uses an SP830 and an ST0002. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The tournament games may be operated in three modes:  time limit only, credit only, or both time limit and credit play.

The time for tournament games includes a programmable break period (e.g., play for 15 minutes, break for 5 minutes, and resume play for another 15 minutes).

Payline 6 is lit while game play is disabled during the break period.

Time limit only games are selected by setting the credit value to zero and setting the start time, pause time and end time to the desired amounts.

Credit only games are selected by setting the time limits to zero and setting the credits to the desired amount.

Games that combine both the time limit and credit play are selected by setting the desired values in their respective fields.

Once tournament capability is enabled in the self test mode, tournament game play can be initialized by simultaneously pressing the Spin Reels player switch and turning the jackpot reset key.

If the accumulated wins reach the 9,999,999 maximum, the machine will go into a hand-pay lockup condition.

I'd be checking the Spin button ( The button LEFT of the coin insert) for proper operation.

Thank you! I got it working. I now realize my (dumb mistake). A few of the buttons on my machine are missing their art, so I had to guess which button is which. I was pressing the wrong button by mistake. Thanks again!
