Title: REEL TOUCH IMPOSSIBLE TO ENTER THE MENU

Hello,


My problem is that if I press the white reset button, the menu appears on the top screen BUT the buttons on the deck do not respond...


Any idea...


The buttons keeps flashing....


Thanks for your help.


PS: I need to enter the menu because I have a Machine Type Mismatch.

Doesn't the touch screen work for menu navigation on the reel touch machines? Plus, you'll need a key chip to change machine type and if there are credits on the machine you may have to clear it also. If it's been working and this is a new problem, check your coin battery voltage before you go to far with programming.

No, the touchscreen does not work for the menu.

Player switches not working and machine type mismatch could be a loose or bad door I/O board.

The main door I/O board, closest to front or belly glass has a jumper or two in the harness.
If a 5 reel machine with 10 button deck check seating and connectors going to both I/O boards and the display to the left of the reels.

Before you get too far into this try opening and closing the main door latch 3 or 4 times.
