I just picked this Game King up a few days ago and I can't figure out why there is no sound. I turned all the sound setting up and I still don't have no sound. Any type of help would be much appreciated.

Looks like a gameking 5.x version. Your sound simm might be bad, or you have no sound simm. Can you even do a sound test on the menu? Post a photo of your mpu.
-
Yeah I was looking at some on the web actually. I know I can't find the same part number though. Does that make a big difference? I wanna buy one asap. Yeah I tried a sound test and nuttn was heard. This isn't the best picture but you can see the p/n on it.

It's a common MML2 sound board. Contact Jim at Midwest Slots, he will probably have a replacement for you.
-
It's possible you may also have a bad amp board inside your cabinet. Do you even hear static coming out of the speakers as you power up the machine?
-
DSS00215 is a Wild Taxi SIMM. Doesn't match your game software, whatever it is? Post a picture of the Base and GME chips. I don't think it is a GK 5.x as Rick suggested. I believe it is an earlier set.

I thought that SIMM card was funny myself after looking them up. I really have no idea what has been done to this machine. It was just gave to me.
-
I don't do this for a living so your terminology is beyond me, lol. All I know is its a 1999 Game King Slant top, but I hope these pics help u guys out :)
-
That's a 4.3 set with wrong MML board. Needs eprom MML1 board with a pair of 46s. Remove that MML2 board (see pic 6984) and you should get some generic sounds.
-
I took the MML board off and It still has no sound
-
Machine may be missing the sound amp board too.
-
That makes a lot of sense. I was trying to find the sound amp board and I can't find it. I just thought I was being a newb but it must not be in there.
-
I can't remember where it's at on a slant top. I would look in the topbox. Follow the speaker wires.
-
Here's a pic of the correct MML sound board and eproms:
-
I've been in the top and there is of course 2 speakers on each end and the wires go to a plug that goes down underneath to the cabinet. Actually here is a picture by any chance is this the amp board?
-
NO thats an I/O board. No not remove anything with power on. Look in the top behind the glass.
-
I don't see nuttn except a fan, light, and 2 speakers pretty much.
-
Follow the speaker wires and find out where they go.
-
I followed them down to where the connect into a board underneath the board you pull out when resetting the machine. The main 2 speaker wires are in a bundle wire tied with an empty plug as show in pics.
-
I'm assuming that plug goes into the amp board???
-
The first pic looks like the end that plugs into one of the speaker harnesses, not the amp, it should have 4 pins.
-
The speaker wires go to this (I believe this is the speaker wire harness) then when I follow the wires they go to the pic I showed you before this post. Unless I'm confused on the terminology.
-
I just thought I would show this area to you. It looks like something was here before but taken off. Could this have been where the amp board would have been?
-
It could be. I have never seen inside of a slant GK before! I have slant PE+ and S+.
Here's a pic of an amp board:

I just spoke with someone I'm buying the MML & eproms from and he said the amp board is in the top space where the speakers are. Unfortunately I don't have it in here so I will just purchase it all from this guy. Hopefully I will be fine with installing it. I see you have 2 different plugs going into your amp board I need to figure out where the other one is on my unit. Thanks for your help.
