Title: Mikohn Supreme Image Inverted
Post by: mckenzieb on July 05, 2015, 09:34:30 AM
I am trying to repair a mikohn supreme display.  It is displaying on the panel but the image is inverted reading backwards like a mirror.  How can I fix this?  Also I have been reading about a download program that is different then the PSP which could fix this problem?  Anyone have this download program available?  I would greatly appreciate any help in repairing this.

What display are you using? If it is the standard Mikhon display like a 3x3 there is an easy fix using telnet from an old laptop with maybe xp loaded. If your trying to use a meter display like you would find in a progressive display in a machine that is normal.

I have used the telnet program to verify the panel dimensions.  But nothing flips the image.

Look at the post" Changing Panel Size and configuration for Supreme..." on this topic.
Normally I would attach the link but I'm on my cell phone.
You want to change your display to graphics for proper orientation on Mikhon displays.

Changing from a graphics panel to overhead panel makes no change to the inverted image.

In telnet " panel 0 x x" the x being the panel size .
The first character is the display type and 0 = graphics. That should solve your issue.

What type/size is your display?
Snap a picture or two and post.

yes I understand the configuration settings.  However, changing to a Graphics Panel = 0 or an Overhead Panel = 1 gives me the same exact inverted image once the controller reboots.  So any other suggestions?

When it reboots does go back to overhead or 1 settings?

As far as I can tell it stays on whatever settings I set.  I will have to check again to verify.

This is a 12 cell display coming from the Supreme Controller.  The progressive is an Triple Double IPC Progressive.  This display and supreme board came out of the sign.  It used to work just fine.

Update:  So after fiddling some more I replaced the ribbon going from the supreme to the display and set the panel size again.  Now the image is displaying correctly but taller then that 12 cell.  Now to get it to shrink down.

You say the supreme came out of a sign, are you sure the supreme was driving that 12 cell or was it driving the sign?
To my knowledge a supreme will not drive a 12 cell but it has been a while since I played with them.

It is actually driving 2 of the 12cells.

Did you try changing the font size with the PSP program now that you have the orientation correct.
Just for my notes are you set to graphics (0) or Mikhon cham II overhead display(1)?
