Title: BB1.5 Themes
Post by: BiggerHammer on October 13, 2015, 12:46:46 PM
Does anyone have a list of BB2 games that will run in a BB1.5 cabinet (ie 19" 4:3 screens, OLED deck, no tse board etc..)?
I know the following will run but would like to know what others.

Lancelot
ZuesII
Lucky Lemmings Edit: This game should not be on the list.
John Wayne

I didn't know there was a Lucky Lemmings that worked on a bb2 cpu.  The one I have does not.

Here's a list off the top of my head, I'm sure there are others I am missing.  To be clear, these will run on a bb2 cpu with a 4:3 inch monitor.  Games with * means there are known variants that do not work on bb2, you must make sure you get the right one.

The Lucky Lemmings that I have uses a 1490 os so I figured it would work. I've not actually tried it though.

There are two 1490's:

SSOS-000-1490 Family G1.3 this is a bb1 OS
SSG-000-1490 Family H9.27 this is a bb2 OS

They are not substitutes for each other and are entirely different versions.  Your lucky lemmings uses SSOS-000-1490.  I bet it is on a 64MB CF card right?  SSG-000-1490 is a 256MB CF card.

The OLED is a main contributing factor.  Some of the games on Ricks list will not run with the OLED.   I know for certain that Black Knight, Houdini, Dragons Realm and Kilauea do.   SSSG operating system card games should work. I think I'm running a SG1490 and a SG1696 but I'm at work and cant look to be sure. ( I checked and am using SG1490 and SG1696) Anything using a SSOS operating system card will not work with the OLED.

Jackpot Block Party will also work with the OLED

Correct to all Rick.
Cruisepl, thanks for the info. I can telling you just about anything you'd want to know about an Alpha but I'm still learning these BB's
