Title: Coin mechanism
Post by: Shaggy on January 21, 2016, 07:44:21 PM
I have a CoinMech Inc. on an old Games of Nevada draw and hold poker machine. Is there any way to loosen up the coin resistance so it will not reject so many quarters? It's a pain in the drain to have to push the button or give it a bump on top to take so many quarters. It says 259 on the drop chute and I see no other numbers. Surely this can be adjusted "looser". I can provide pics if needed. Thanks.

I dug around and found a different one and swapped it out. Works fine now.

They tend to get dirty and I have seen the pivoting parts wear on the shaft or pin. When that happens it's time for a different one. I have found the the black molded Imonex coin acceptors are the best out there. They have no moving parts.
