Brokenwizard:
I have a WBA12-13 (708bh) validator ID=003 USA V3.75 (This is what's written on it) Question 1. Can I just replace the chip on the back so it will accept the new 100's and 2. If so anyone know where I can purchase the chip. I know I can send the whole thing out to be updated but it would be simpler if I can just replace the chip. Thanks in advance, |
Ken:
Replacing the ID=003 USA V3.75 chip with a ID=003 USA V3.8(x) chip will get you the new 100. |
foster:
The only thing is when you replace the EPROM you need to do a calibration on the head after chip is installed as recommended by JCM and just about everyone that has done it. |
Brokenwizard:
Doesn't recalibrate mean cables and or software needed? I have computers but nothing else to facilitate a calibration. |
CVslots:
We sell calibration papers for WBAs. They are a paper that is fed in and it "realigns" the head so that it reads bills properly. Often times, it is used as part of a tune-up. Here's what the papers look like: http://www.centralvalleyslots.com/jcm-wba-validator-paper.html |
