IGT & Kordak KTL190LT-01 -> no picture
« on: October 26, 2021, 02:31:19 PM »
Hello Slot wizards!

I bought 3x IGT games (non-working) and I could use some help in order to get those up and running.

I have one IGT upright Trimline 19” TFT (Single monitor), 044 board with Persian Princess game theme.
My goal is to get it working with bills (no coin acceptor or hopper) and also install TITO@home to it.

Other two are upright Game King 19” (Panda cabinet) with TFT’s and 044 boards.
Target is the get these working with bills and coin in/out.

But first the Trimline… It has Kordak KTL190LT-01. When I power the game on there’s no picture,
bill acceptor cycles ok. Top of the display unit is a red led which is lit and under the monitor
(picture adjusting unit) there’s a green led which is blinking.

I have connected the VGA cable from back board to external computer TFT display and I can see the
software loads ok. I'm also able to use machines touch screen from its black screen and access various
menus with this external monitor. So the issue appears to be the display itself or its power supply.

Any suggestions how to proceed and what parts is needed?

Please see attached pics....

Does the monitor display anything at all?  If you power it on with the VGA cable disconnected does it show a "no video" box for a few seconds before going black?

Nope, nothing just black all the time. I tried also with another VGA cable, that didn't help either.....

Try swapping out the inverter board and see if that fixes it.

You have to remove the back cover from the monitor and there's a board that looks like this.  Try swapping it with a known good one and see if that fixes the problem.  Be careful with the connectors that goto the CCFLs those wires are somewhat fragile.  Don't pull on them!
